Srinagar, May 14 (KNC): An unidentified non-local man was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Badiwudar locality of Sangam in Srinagar late Wednesday night, officials said.
According to officials, locals spotted the body lying near agricultural fields and immediately informed the police. A police team reached the spot soon after and shifted the body into custody for further examination.
Officials said the deceased appears to be a non-local male. No visible injury marks were noticed on the body during the preliminary inspection.
The body has been shifted to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) Hospital Srinagar for medico-legal procedures. Police have initiated investigation to establish the identity of the deceased and ascertain the exact cause of death.
