Baramulla, May 10 (GNS): A missing person from north Kashmir’s Bijhama area in Baramulla district, has been found dead after remaining untraceable for nearly a week.
An official told GNS that the deceased identified as Tahir Iqbal Khan, 27, son of late Mohd Iqbal Khan, resident of Kichana, Bijhama, had left his home for Baramulla on 03/05/2026 and did not return thereafter, prompting concern among family members.
“After several days of search, his body was recovered from Bagna Nallah in Baramulla. Preliminary assessment suggests that he fell from a rocky height of around 100 feet,” the official said.
Police have in the meantime taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further proceedings into the incident. (GNS)
