Srinagar, Aug 12 (GNS):A 30-year-old man sustained critical injuries after being struck by an unidentified vehicle in Salasan area of Boniyar on Wednesday evening.
The injured has been identified as Mohd Ismail Dhaker, son of Ashmali Dhaker and a resident of Salasan, Boniyar. He works as a labourer.
Locals told GNS that, the man was hit by a vehicle that fled the spot. He was immediately shifted to PHC Boniyar for treatment.
Given the severity of his injuries, doctors at the PHC referred him to GMC Baramulla for advanced medical care.
Police Station Boniyar has taken cognizance of the incident and launched an investigation to determine the circumstances of the accident and to trace the vehicle involved.(GNS)
