Srinagar, Feb 10: A massive fire broke out in the Habbakadal area of Srinagar on Tuesday late evening, engulfing several residential houses, officials said.
Reports reaching news agency Kashmir News Corner (KNC) stated that the fire erupted near the revered Nyama Sahib shrine in the locality.
“Two to three residential houses are involved in the blaze,” an official said, adding that the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
Firefighting teams have rushed to the spot and are working to douse the flames and prevent the fire from spreading further in the densely populated area.
No casualties or injuries have been reported so far, while firefighting operations continue.—(KNC)
