Minor boy falls off from tractor, fatally run over by it in Budgam

DDC Kupwara reviews preparations for conduct of Census 2027

Budgam, Jul 6 (GNS): A 12-year-old boy was killed after he fell from a tractor and was run over by the vehicle in Wanihama area in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Reports reaching GNS said that the boy identified as Aaqib Hussain Ganaie son of Mohammad Ashraf of Mulshulla fell from tractor in Wanihama. The minor, who was at maternal aunt’s house, slipped off from the farm tractor and was subsequently run over by the vehicle, they said.

The boy suffered critical injuries in the incident and was immediately removed to a health facility. However he succumbed to the wounds on the way, they said.

A police official confirming the incident told GNS that matter is being investigated and the body will be handed over to the family for last rites after completion of the formalities. (GNS)
