BANDIPORA, AUGUST 14: The body of 31-year-old Showkat Ahmad Gujjar, son of Mohammad Gulab Gujjar, a resident of Yali Bonakoot, was recovered from Nalla Madhumati at Nathpora in Bandipora district on Friday, bringing an end to a days-long search operation.
Showkat had reportedly gone missing, following which a joint search operation was launched by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Jammu and Kashmir Police, and local volunteers to trace his whereabouts.
After sustained search efforts, the search teams recovered his body from Nalla Madhumati at Nathpora.
The recovery has brought an end to the intensive search operation that had continued for several days following his disappearance.
The circumstances surrounding his death are yet to be ascertained. Further details are awaited as authorities proceed with the necessary legal and investigative formalities.(KNC)
