Srinagar, May 11 : A 55-year-old woman from Kargil was found dead on Monday after she was found unconscious at a rented accommodation in Srinagar, officials said.
Officials told news agency JKNS that the woman, identified as Fatima Banu, wife of Abdullah and a resident of Sankoo Kargil, was residing in a rented room in the Kaksarai area of Srinagar.
They said the woman, aged around 50 years, was shifted to SMHS Hospital by locals and family members in an unconscious condition, where doctors declared her brought dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and further proceedings are underway to ascertain the cause of death. (JKNS)
