Srinagar: The crescent for the Islamic month of Rabi-ul-Awwal 1447 Hijri was sighted on Sunday evening. Accordingly, the first day of the blessed month will commence tomorrow, Monday, August 25, 2025.
Rabi-ul-Awwal holds immense religious and spiritual significance for Muslims across the globe, as it marks the birth month of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). The day of 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal is observed with deep reverence as Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), commemorating the arrival of the Prophet who brought the message of Islam to humanity. This year, Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) will fall on Friday, September 5, 2025.
Religious scholars have urged the faithful to utilize the blessed days of Rabi-ul-Awwal in prayer, charity, and acts of kindness, while maintaining the true spirit of unity and brotherhood.
