Jammu, April 17: A two-day training module in every district of Jammu Province is aimed at enhancing alertness, preparedness, and professional competence among police personnel.
The current two-day session commenced at District Police Lines Samba and District Police Lines Doda tiday
The aim of this training module is to sensitise every police personnel about their role and responsibilities as part of the Police, and to strengthen the operational efficiency and responsiveness of personnel deployed on security duties from District Police during VVIP/VIP movement and other important events/occasions.
Focused training sessions were conducted on VIP security arrangements and the effective handling of security gadgets.
These sessions have been designed to familiarise participants with standard operating procedures, emerging security challenges, and the proper use of modern equipment in real-time scenarios.
The programme witnessed maximum participation from police personnel, including Gazetted Officers (GOs) and Non-Gazetted Officers (NGOs), reflecting a broad-based approach towards capacity building across different ranks.
Sh. Rakesh Kumar, JKPS, Staff Officer to IGP Security J&K, and Sh. Khalid Amin, SSP Security J&K, addressed the participants and gave detailed and comprehensive briefings. The officers emphasised the importance of such training programmes in the present security environment and highlighted the need for continuous skill upgradation to effectively tackle evolving threats and challenges. They also impressed upon the participants to internalise the learnings and apply them diligently in the field to ensure robust and foolproof security arrangements.
