February 10: A formal pipping ceremony was held at the District Police Headquarters, Budgam, to confer ranks on the newly promoted Assistant Sub-Inspectors. The ceremony was presided over by SSP Budgam Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS, and was attended by DySP (DAR) Budgam Shri Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din.
On the occasion, SSP Budgam congratulated the officers on their well-deserved promotions and commended their service records and conduct. He stressed that promotion is not only an honour but also a call to uphold higher standards of integrity, discipline, and public service. He acknowledged their professional contributions and reminded them that responsibility increases with authority, urging them to lead by example, maintain discipline, and uphold the rule of law.
The ceremony concluded with senior officers of Police congratulating the promoted personnel, who expressed gratitude to the department for their timely promotion and recognition.
