Srinagar, Nov 9 (GNS): Authorities on Monday put treasury officer Kreeri Baramulla under suspension over alleged embezzlement of charges.
“Based on preliminary report from Director Accounts and Treasuries Kashmir wherein Treasury Officer Kreeri has been reported of being involved in embezzlement of Government Money by fraudulent drawal of pension and crediting the same to non-existent pensioners etc., pending enquiry, Bashir Ahmad Changa, Assistant Treasury Officer, Treasury Kreeri, Baramulla is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect (sic.)”, reads an order in this regard, of which a copy lies with GNS.
“During the period of suspension he shall remain attached in the officer Director Accounts and Treasuries Kashmir, Subsistence allowance as admissable under rules is also sanctioned in his favour,” adds the order “issued with the approval of authorities.”
