Jammu, July 22 (GNS): Two people died and five others were injured on Wednesday after falling stones hit a Tempo Traveller at Gangroo in Ramsoo area of Ramban district, officials said.
Officials told GNS that the deceased have been identified as Nazir Ahmed and his wife Shakeela Begum, both residents of Dhandla, Kartigarh.
The injured were immediately evacuated from the spot and rushed to Sub District Hospital Banihal for treatment.
Rescue operations are currently underway at the site.
Authorities have advised commuters to exercise caution while travelling on the Jammu-Srinagar highway amid ongoing rainfall and frequent shooting stones. (GNS)
