Ganderbal, 30 January 2026: Jammu and Kashmir BJP General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul strongly defended the VB GRAM-G (Guarantee for Rozgar and Aajeevika Mission – Gramin) Bill, terming it a transformational, pro-poor initiative aimed at empowering rural India and dismantling decades of economic neglect.

Addressing a district-level convention at Town Hall, Ganderbal, Ashok Koul categorically rejected attempts by certain political forces to mislead people by spreading misinformation about the Bill.

J&K BJP General Secretary Anwar Khan, secretaries Mudasir Wani and Arif raja, District President Ganderbal Gulam Hussain Rather and co-Incharge All Cells Bilal Parray, and others were also present.

“Some political elements, rattled by BJP’s pro-people agenda, are deliberately maligning the G-RAM-G Bill with baseless and communal narratives. Let me make it absolutely clear—G-RAM-G is about guaranteed employment, livelihood security, and dignity for the rural poor, not about politics of deception,” Koul asserted.

He emphasized that VB GRAM-G is a landmark step towards employment generation, rural empowerment, and inclusive development, designed especially for laborers, farmers, youth, women, and marginalized sections.

“This Bill is about strengthening village economies, ensuring sustainable livelihoods, and giving rural citizens the confidence to build their future with dignity. BJP believes in development on the ground, not hollow slogans,” he added.

Koul urged party leaders and workers to take the message of VB GRAM-G door-to-door, especially in rural and far-flung areas, so that people are not misled by false propaganda and can fully benefit from the schemes.

Mohammad Anwar Khan, while addressing the gathering, launched a sharp attack on the current administration, accusing it of betraying public trust.

“The Chief Minister’s recent remarks reflect a desperate attempt to divert attention from his government’s failures. The people gave a decisive mandate based on promises, but what we see today is stagnation. Manifesto commitments exist only on paper, while ground-level development is missing,” Khan said.

He stated that BJP remains committed to accountability, performance, and real development, unlike those who rely on excuses and blame games.
