A strong Western Disturbance is set to impact Jammu and Kashmir over the next 36 hours, bringing widespread moderate to heavy rain showers across the UT.

Windstorm may accompany the system in some areas, along with thundershowers and isolated hailstorm activity. Vulnerable locations could also face a risk of flash floods.
Higher reaches and mountain passes, including Zojila, Sinthan Top, Mughal Road, Sadhna Top, and Razdan Top, are likely to witness fresh snowfall.

Though less likely, light snowfall over middle elevations (2100–2400 meters) cannot be completely ruled out.
Weather conditions are expected to gradually improve by Sunday, although a few places may still receive brief showers on that day.
