Anantnag, May 28 : A 70-year-old woman lost her life after a walnut tree fell on her amid heavy gusty winds in Khulchohar area of Mattan in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday.
Reports reaching news agency JKNS that the deceased, a housewife, was near her residence in Mirpora Khulchohar when the walnut tree suddenly collapsed due to strong winds, causing fatal injuries.
She was identified as a resident of Mirpora Khulchohar, Mattan.
Cognizance of the incident has been taken and further investigation initiated. (JKNS)
