Handwara, Apr 01: (GNS) Authorities in Handwara have closed two schools, including a Higher Secondary school, for three days after two teachers at each of the institutes’ tested positive for COVID here on Thursday.
The two educational institutes include Government Model Higher Secondary School and Government High School, both located at Qalamabad.
Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Mawar Mohammad Maqbool while talking to Global News Service (GNS) that both the educational institutions have been closed after two General-Line teachers of as many schools tested positive for COVID-19.
“All the primary and secondary contacts of the affected teachers have been advised to self-isolate and quarantine themselves with immediate effect”, the zonal level officer said. (GNS)
