Srinagar, June 09 : The Jammu and Kashmir Government has formally confirmed the services of 297 Junior Scale Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers after deeming them to have satisfactorily completed their probation period.
According to Government Order No. 1063-JK(GAD) of 2026 dated June 09, 2026, issued by the General Administration Department (Services), the decision has been taken in relaxation of the relevant provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956, the Jammu and Kashmir Combined Competitive Services (Probation and Examination) Rules, 2000, and the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service Rules, 2008.
The order states that Junior Scale JKAS probationers appointed through various government orders issued between 2012 and 2020 shall be deemed to have successfully completed their probation. The beneficiaries include officers appointed under Government Orders issued in 2012, 2013, 2015, 2018, 2019 and 2020.
The annexure attached to the order contains the names of all 297 officers, including those belonging to the 2012-II, 2013, 2015, 2018, 2019 and 2020 batches. Among those confirmed are Naresh Kumar, Ranjeet Singh, Indu Sakshi, Mohammad Iqbal Mir, Aliya Tabassum, Fareed Ahmad, Irtiza Jeelani, Mohammad Altaf Ganie, Shakeeb Arsallan, Umer Farooq, Adnan Nazir, Aafreen Wahid Ganai, Jahan Zaib Khan, Tawheed Ahmad Mir, Waseem Ramzan Dar, Raja Majid Iqbal and several others.
The order was issued by the order of the Lieutenant Governor and signed by M. Raju, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department.
The confirmation of probation marks a significant administrative milestone for the officers, paving the way for their regularisation and future career progression within the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service. (KNC)
