Kupwara admin orders movement of employees to Keran, Machil

Srinagar, May 26 (GNS): District administration Kupwara on Tuesday directed army and police to allow the movement of essential service department employees to and fro Keran and Machil on producing valid identity cards and proper security check-up.  

“In view of prevailing situation due to COVID-19, as it is hereby ordered that the government employees of essential service department are allowed to move from Kupwara to Keran and Machil to and fro after proper security checkup and with valid identity Card (sic)” reads an order issued by District Magistrate Kupwara, Anshul Gargh. The copy of the order has been sent to Brigadier Commander 53 and 268 battalion c/o 56 APO and Senior Superintendent of Police Kupwara  for “information and necessary action.”   

It is pertinent to mention here that the vehicular movement had remained suspended to the Keran and Machil routes since lockdown from March 24. (GNS)
