21 travellers among 70 fresh covid-19 cases, 1 death reported in J&K

Srinagar, March 8 (GNS): Twenty-one travellers were among 70 fresh covid-19 cases in Jammu and Kashmir even as one person succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Monday. Among the fresh cases, 11 were from Jammu Division and 59 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total case tally to 124280.

Giving district wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 33 cases, Baramulla 6, Budgam 5, Pulwama 7, Kupwara 1, Anantnag 4, Bandipora 1, Ganderbal 2, Kulgam 0, Shopian 0, Jammu 11,  Udhampur 0, Rajouri 0, Doda 0, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 0, Ramban 0 and Reasi 0.

A number of cases were confirmed at diagnostic laboratories of SKIMS, CD hospital and GMC Anantnag.

The  SKIMS cases include female (36) from Beerwah, male (37) from Charangam Budgam, male (30) from Gundmamdar, male (50) from GHSS Ahmedpora Budgam, female (47) from Malshahi Bagh  Ganderbal, male (60) from Ussan Baramulla, female (68) from Baghat Srinagar, male (45) from Safakadal Srinagar, male (43) from Srinagar.

The CD cases include female (30) (NA) from Srinagar, male (30) (NA) from Rambagh, female (21) (NA) from Budgam, male (72) from Buspora, male (55) (NA) from Batamaloo, male (02) (NA) from Nowgam, female (30) (NA) from Batamaloo, male (27) (NA) from Batamaloo, male (55) from Habbak, male (40) (NA) from Nowshera , male (80) (NA) from Beerwah Budgam, female (NA) from Baramulla, female (38) (NA) from Bagi Mehtab. The GMC Annatng cases include female (30) (NA) from Sarnal Bala.

The death has been reported from Jammu division, taking the total toll to 1963— 177 in Jammu and 694 in Kashmir.

Moreover, they said, 90 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—14 from Jammu and 76 from Kashmir division.  So far, 124280 people have recovered—51208 in Kashmir and 73072 in Jammu while 871 are active—177 in Jammu and 694 in Kashmir while 1963 have died.
