24 IAS, JKAS Officers Transferred in Major Administrative Reshuffle by LG Administration

Srinagar, June 11 In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Jammu and Kashmir administration on Wednesday ordered the transfer and posting of 24 IAS and JKAS officers across various departments and districts, with immediate effect.

As per an order issued by GAD JK by the order of J&K, Lieutenant Governor a copy of wgich lies with news agency JKNS, Anil Kumar Singh (IAS), awaiting adjustment, has been posted as Principal Secretary, Social Welfare Department. He will also hold the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Mining Department, relieving IPS officer Vikramjit Singh of the dual role.

Saurabh Bhagat (IAS), previously holding charge of Science & Technology and IT, has now been posted as Commissioner/Secretary, Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs.

Zubair Ahmad (JKAS), who held the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs portfolio, has been posted as Commissioner/Secretary, Floriculture, Parks and Gardens, relieving Shailendra Kumar (IAS) of additional charge.

Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary (IAS) has been posted as Secretary, Science and Technology Department. He will also hold the charge of Administrative Secretary, Civil Aviation Department, replacing Mohammad Aijaz (IAS) in the role.

Niraj Kumar (IAS) moves from Transport to head the Public Grievances Department. Piyush Singla (IAS) has been posted as Secretary, Information Technology Department, while Naveen SL (IAS) takes charge as Secretary, Transport Department.

Dr. Bilal Mohi ud Din Bhat (IAS) is the new DC Budgam, replacing Akshay Labroo (IAS), who is transferred as DC Srinagar. Baseer ul Haq Chaudhary (IAS) becomes the new Mission Director, National Health Mission.

Mohammad Alyas Khan (JKAS), previously in the LG Secretariat, has been posted as DC Ramban. Pankaj Kumar Sharma (JKAS), VC Jammu Development Authority, has been appointed DC Kishtwar.

Faz Lul Haseeb (IAS) has been made Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation and will also serve as CEO of Srinagar Smart City project. Rupesh Kumar (IAS) moves to Vice-Chairman, Jammu Development Authority.

Shahzad Alam (IAS) continues with his current responsibilities and will now also oversee the Skill Development Department, it reads.

Shreya Singhal (IAS) has been posted as MD, J&K Tourism Development Corporation, and CEO, JK ERA. Ananth Dwivedi (IAS) will take over as CEO, State Health Agency, and also as Mission Director, Ayush Bharat Digital Health Mission. Mahima Madan (IAS) has been posted as CEO, JaKeGA and given additional charge as Additional Secretary, Resident Commission, New Delhi.

Gurpal Singh (IAS) has been posted as Director, Social Welfare, Jammu. Owais Ahmed (IAS) is now Director, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Kashmir. Nazim Zai Khan (IAS) moves to Mission Director, ICPS.

Majid Khalil Drabu (IAS) becomes Commissioner of Enquiries, J&K. Roshan Lal (JKAS) posted as ADDC Rajouri. Vivek Phonsa (JKAS) posted as Additional Secretary, Home Department.

This reshuffle is seen as part of the ongoing efforts by the administration to infuse new energy into the governance machinery and strengthen delivery of public services across J&K. (JKNS)
