Says Govt Preparing Possible Transition Plan

Wani made the remarks while participating in Constitution Day celebrations at a local school, where he praised the “great enthusiasm” shown by students and staff while reading the Preamble and engaging in related activities.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the event, the DSEK Naseer as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC said the administration is examining suitable steps for de-freezing the RET posts.

“The government is thinking about what measures should be taken for de-freezing. Our feedback will be submitted to them, and whatever directions come, will be followed,” he said.

On the issue of fee regulation, Wani assured strict enforcement, stating that both district-level and central-level monitoring teams are actively addressing complaints.

“Our orders are clear. There is no need to worry. If any violation is found, action will be taken. The Fee Fixation Committee has already issued guidelines, and anyone facing issues can approach them,” he said.

Addressing concerns regarding NCERT textbook availability and usage, the Director said teams have been constituted at multiple levels to ensure compliance.

“NCERT books are being used everywhere. Wherever we receive complaints, action is taken. Responsibility will be fixed and compensation ensured,” he added.

The DSEK’s remarks come at a time when parents, teachers, and educational stakeholders are seeking clarity on multiple fronts, particularly the status of RET teachers and the enforcement of standardized educational practices across Kashmir.
