Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department has ordered a reshuffle of Chief Education Officers and equivalent officers in the interest of administration, with immediate effect.
As per Government Order No. 94 JK Edu of 2026, a copy of which lies with GNS, Ab Gani Bhat, presently posted at DIET Kupwara, has been transferred and posted as Chief Education Officer Kulgam. Mohd Shabir, Chief Education Officer Kulgam, has been posted as Associate Professor at SCERT Jammu.
Kewal Krishan, Chief Education Officer Samba, has been transferred and posted as Chief Education Officer Kathua.
Yash Paul Sharma, presently serving at DIET Poonch, has been posted as Chief Education Officer Samba. Balbir Kumar, posted at DIET Shopian, has been transferred and posted as Chief Education Officer Bandipora.
The order further states that the Chief Education Officers of Kupwara, Shopian, and Poonch shall hold the additional charge of their respective District Institutes of Education and Training alongside their regular duties. (GNS)
