Bhubaneswar, Jan 27 : The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has been honoured as the Best Union Territory/State under the Model Facility category of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) at the national-level NHA Chintan Shivir held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

As per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, The prestigious award was conferred by the National Health Authority (NHA) during the two-day Chintan Shivir held on January 19 and 20, 2026, recognising Jammu and Kashmir’s exemplary performance in implementing the Model Facility framework under ABDM and setting new benchmarks in digital healthcare integration.

Officials said Jammu and Kashmir has made significant strides in digitising health services, achieving 100 percent registration of public health facilities under ABDM. The integration of JK e-Sahaj (Health Management Information System) with the national digital health ecosystem has streamlined patient services, enabling paperless consultations and seamless access to health records through ABHA IDs under the guidance of Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, Secretary Health and Medical Education.

“This recognition reflects Jammu and Kashmir’s leadership in advancing digital health initiatives aimed at delivering seamless and citizen-centric healthcare services,” officials noted during the valedictory session. (KNC)
