June 09: In a swift and coordinated action, Police in Pulwama successfully recovered a minor girl within 24 hours of her reported kidnapping and apprehended the accused involved in the case.
A written complaint was received at Police Station Pulwama regarding the kidnapping of a 16-year-old girl. Acting promptly on the complaint, Police Station Pulwama registered FIR No. 111/2026 and immediately initiated investigation.
Special police teams were constituted and extensive efforts were undertaken to trace the victim. Through sustained investigation and technical assistance, the minor girl was successfully recovered within 24 hours of the case being reported. The accused was also arrested.
The prompt resolution of the case reflects the commitment of J&K Police towards ensuring the safety and security of women and children. Further investigation is in progress.
