Punjab/Srinagar, Aug 16 : Three persons, including two residents of Srinagar, were kill€d while three others sustained injuri€s in a road accident in Bhogpur area of Jalandhar, Punjab, officials said.
Officials told news agency JKNS that, the accident occurred when a speeding Maruti Fronx collided with a roadside vendor before crashing into a tree, resulting in multiple casualties.
The deceased were identified as Ikhlas Qadir, son of Ghulam Qadir, and Aneek Amin, son of Mohammad Amin, both residents of Batamaloo, Srinagar.
The roadside vendor, a Punjab resident, also di€d in the accident.
Officials said three other occupants of the vehicle, all residents of Srinagar, sustained injuries in the accident and were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Further details regarding the condition of the injured and circumstances leading to the accident are awaited. (JKNS)
