SHOPIAN: A 40-year-old man died after suffering an electric shock while reportedly repairing an inverter wire at his home in Pinjora village of Shopian district on Monday.
The incident occurred when Shakeel Ahmad Wagay, a resident of Pinjora, came in contact with the live wire while carrying out the repair work at his residence.
He sustained a severe electric shock and was immediately shifted to a hospital in Shopian by his family members for medical attention.
However, doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead on arrival.
The incident has left the family in shock, with Wagay survived by his two daughters. Police have taken cognizance of the incident. [KNT]
