Rajouri, Sep 07 (GNS): Police have registered a case after taking cognisance of a written complaint regarding the circumstances surrounding the stillbirth of a newborn in Rajouri.

In a statement, as per news agency GNS, Rajouri Police said it received a written complaint at Police Station Rajouri regarding the stillbirth, during which involvement of two individuals, including a lady employee of GMC Rajouri, has surfaced.

In this regard, Case FIR No. 465/2026 under Sections 106(1)/3(5) of BNS has been registered at PS Rajouri and investigation is underway, police said.

Sources said that a pregnant woman, who is currently on a ventilator, lost her baby after she was allegedly taken outside GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri to a private room for delivery.(GNS)
