Srinagar, Sep 11 (GNS): The Directorate of Health Services Kashmir has directed all health institutions across Kashmir to ensure uninterrupted patient care amid prevailing situation.
In a circular, a copy of which lies with GNS, Director Health Services Kashmir said that all Medical Superintendents, Block Medical Officers and Heads of Institutions under administrative control of DHSK are enjoined upon to ensure that all available regular staff are present and deployed appropriately to maintain functioning of healthcare institutions and essential services.
The DDOs/Heads of Institutions have been directed to ensure that adequate regular staff remains available on duty in all critical and patient-care areas.
It has also been directed that essential services including OPD, IPD, Emergency, Labour Room, OT, diagnostics, pharmacy and other patient-care services are maintained without interruption.
“Duty rosters may be suitably adjusted, wherever required, to ensure adequate manpower during the period. Patient care and essential health services shall not suffer due to the absence of NHM personnel,” the circular reads.
It further states that any shortage of manpower adversely affecting essential services shall be brought to the notice of the Directorate immediately for appropriate intervention.
“All concerned shall accord top priority to the matter and ensure that Healthcare delivery remains uninterrupted and patient interest are duly safeguarded,” it added.(GNS)
