Jammu, Sep 17 (GNS): A man was shot dead in Resham Ghar Colony area of Bakshi Nagar in Jammu on Thursday afternoon, officials said.
Official told GNS that this afternoon, a firing incident was reported from Resham Ghar Colony, wherein one person identified as Deepak Sharma sustained a gunshot injury to his head.
The injured was found at the spot and later declared dead. His body has been shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for medico-legal formalities and post-mortem examination, they said.
A police team from Police Station Bakshi Nagar reached the spot and has initiated investigation into the circumstances leading to the firing incident.
Further details regarding the accused, motive and weapon involved are awaited, officials added.(GNS)
