September 21: Continuing its sustained efforts to curb the menace of drug trafficking, Police in Kupwara arrested a drug peddler and recovered a substantial quantity of contraband in the Lalpora area.
He has been identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Khaliq Bhat resident of Lalpora, Kupwara. During search, charas-like substance was recovered from his possession.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Lalpora and investigation has been initiated.
