September 22: Continuing its war against the drug menace, J&K Police in Anantnag arrested one person and recovered charas from his possession during a checking operation in the Sarnal area.
A police party from Police Post Sherbagh apprehended a drug peddler identified as Talib Nisar Bhat son of Nisar Ahmad Bhat resident of Kralteng, Mattan, at Mattan Chowk. During search, charas was recovered from his possession. In this regard, Case FIR No. 322/2026 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Anantnag, and investigation has been set into motion.
Police reiterates its commitment to intensify its sustained action against drug trafficking and ensure a drug-free society.
