Srinagar, Sep 29 (GNS): Encounter breaks out in Gurwatkalan area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Tuesday, officials said.
An official told GNS that a joint team of security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area following specific inputs.
As forces zeroed in on the suspected spot, hiding terrorists opened fire, triggering an encounter, he said.
Meanwhile, operation in the area was on as this report was being filed.
