Srinagar, Jul 6(GNS): Police on Monday claimed to have recovered arms and ammunition from an alleged militant associate in Kralhar area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A police official told GNS that a person was arrested this evening at Kralhar area during checking by a joint naka party of SOG Baramulla and 53 Battallion CRPF.
Identifying the accused as Tahir Ahmad Shiekh son of Mohammad Rafeeq Shiekh a resident of Shitharan Khag of Budgam district, the official claimed to have made recovery of arms and ammunitions including one hand grenade, an AK47 Magazine, 25 rounds of AK47 from the arrested person.
The accused person, as per the official, “is working as an OGW for Hizb-ul-Mujhaideen outfit.”
Meanwhile, an FIR number 107/2020 under sections 7/25 Indian Arms Act and 18,39 of ULPA has been registered against the accused and further investigations taken up.(GNS)
