Poonch, Nov 03: An Army jawan was injured in an accidental fire incident in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.
Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Corner—(KNC) that the soldier, identified as Naik Amarjeet of 7 JAT Regiment, sustained critical injuries during the accidental firing.
He was immediately evacuated to a nearby medical facility, where despite efforts by doctors, he succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile cognizance has been taken and further investigation initiated.
