Handwara, Oct 03: District administration Kupwara on Friday last, started Phase-III of ‘Back to Village’ programme in Haril Panchayat Halqa in Mawer Langate of Handwara tehsil.
BDC Chairman Langate Tahir Ahmad Mir, Naib Tehsildar Qalamabad Farooq Ahmad Khan, CDPO Langate Mohammad Ayoob, Lecturer Abdul Qayoom Naiko, Sarpanch Haril Rayees Ahmad Mir including officials from Forest, Health, Education, Agriculture, Horticulture, RDD, PDD, PHE, and various other departments participated in the programme to make it a success.
It was informed that 32 Panchayat Halqas of two blocks will be covered during the ongoing phase of B2V, from 02 October to 12 October 2020.
Sarpanch Haril Rayees Ahmad, part of the visiting team, laid foundation stone to the ‘Examination Hall’ at Government High School Haril at an estimated cost of 12 lac rupees even as distributing sports kits among the youth to promote sports activities in the area.
Rayees Ahmad in the meantime assured the delegations of early redressal to all genuine issues concerning the public at large.
The visiting team on the ocassion hailed Rayees Ahmad for his passion and endeavour towards the public works.
During the visit, Gazetted Officer Abdul Qayoom Naiko also interacted with public and sought feedback into the overall issues faced by the public in the area.
Meanwhile, CDPO Langate Mohammad Ayoub, who happens to be Nodal officer of B2V3 programme distributed baby kits at Halqa Haril under ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ initiative.
