Udhampur, Dec 24 : A contractor lost his life in a tragic accident at Government Medical College (GMC) Udhampur on Wednesday, officials said.
Officials told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, the deceased has been identified as Sanjeev Sharma. The incident occurred while he was on duty at the GMC premises when a pipe reportedly fell from above and struck him on the head, resulting in his on-the-spot death.
Soon after the incident, authorities rushed to the spot and initiated necessary legal and procedural formalities. Further details regarding the circumstances leading to the accident are being ascertained.
