Srinagar, June 13: A dead body was found under suspicious circumstances in the Aaribal Pomposh Colony area of Palpora Noorbagh in Srinagar on Saturday, prompting police to launch an investigation.
Sources said the body was noticed by locals in the area, following which police were informed about the incident.
A police team immediately rushed to the spot and took possession of the body for medico-legal formalities.
Officials identified the deceased as 55-year-old Fayaz Ahmad Dar, son of Abdul Gaffar Dar of Gasi Mohalla Safakadal, Srinagar, who was missing for the last two days.
The recovery of the body under suspicious conditions has triggered an investigation, with police examining all possible angles.. [KNT]
