Medicines cure diseases, but only Doctors can cure patients

We are celebrating Doctors Day today to acknowledge the marvelous contribution of Doctors across the country. This day is originally dedicated to commemorate the birth and death anniversary of the renowned physician B.C. Roy who had also served as the chief minister of Bengal. His phenomenal role in the field of medical science earned him a revered name in this field. As a gesture of appreciation, acknowledgement and gratification towards the indefinite contributions, this day has been observed every year since 1991. A Doctor’s whole life revolves around rendering services to fellow humans. He never lives for himself, he lives to treat patients with compassion and kindness. Across the nation, millions of Doctors and healthcare workers are working day and night, tirelessly to serve and save humanity. The Covid 19 pandemic has once again accentuated the most crucial role of Doctors in combating the virus, which saw the world kneeling down to it. Throwing their lives into risks, giving up holidays, leaving behind families, working 24/7 without breaks, the doctors are playing a pivotal role in dealing with the nationwide health crisis. Thousands of Doctors lost their lives while treating people during the first and the second wave of Coronavirus. Upto this day and in the future, it’s the Doctors who have taken upon themselves to treat and save humans and act as saviours of humanity. The Prime Minister in the widely famed, “Mann Ki Baat” heaped praises on Doctors and the sacrifices made by them. The government and the public fully acknowledge the services of doctors towards the society. No reward can recompense the priceless endeavors of Doctors. Kudos to the saviours of humanity!E
