Awantipora, May 15 -CNS: – An encounter has erupted between security forces and suspected militants in the Nader area of Tral in south Kashmir’s Awantipora police district. According to initial reports, police and security forces have launched a joint operation and are currently engaged at the site.
The operation began following specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area. Authorities have cordoned off the region and intensified search operations.
“Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow,” Kashmir Police said in a brief statement.(CNS)
