Shopian, July 12: A 10-year-old girl has gone missing from Sofipora area of Shopian after she reportedly left her home in the early hours of Sunday, prompting an anxious search by her family, who have appealed to the public for assistance in tracing her.
The missing girl has been identified as Arbeena Shafi, daughter of Mohammad Shafi Chad and a Class 5 student. According to her family, she was last seen at around 5:00 am before she went missing under unknown circumstances.
Relatives and local residents have launched a search in and around the area but, till the filing of this report, her whereabouts remained unknown.
The family has urged anyone who may have seen the child or has any information about her whereabouts to come forward and immediately contact them on 91032 21701. They have also appealed to the public to share the information widely to help trace the missing girl at the earliest. [KNT]
