Srinagar, Jul 16 (GNS): District Administration on Thursday suspended six staffers over rampant illegal construction along Nallah Sindh in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal.
An order in this regard, of which a copy lies with GNS, reads that consequent upon raising of illegal constructions on Nallah Sindh in violation of Honorable High Court Order passed in PIL NO:404/2011 titled Qazi Rashid Shamas v/s State of J&K & Others, pending enquiry into the matter the (following) officers/officials are hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect.
The officials, as per the order include, Bashir Ahmad Magray (Revenue), Shafat Hakak (Jal Shakti/I&FC), Abdul Rashid Dar (Jal Shakti/I&FC), Abdul Ahad Malik (Jal Shakti/I&FC), John Mohammad Wani (Jal Shakti/I&FC) and Azhar Ahmad Hajam (Jal Shakti/I&FC).
Meanwhile, the Assistant Commissioner Revenue Ganderbal shall conduct a discrete enquiry into the matter and furnish report within a fortnight, the order reads further. (GNS)
