Police seizes 5 vehicles, arrests 5 persons in Baramulla

 Cracking a whip on illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, police have seized 5 vehicles and arrested 5 persons in Baramulla.  

A police party under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla assisted by SHO PS Baramulla & IC PP Delina seized five vehicles (4 tippers, 1 tractor) and arrested five drivers, involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals at Khanpora & Delina. The accused drivers have been identified as Mohd Salam Ganie son of Mohd Ashraf resident of Lalad Sopore, Shabir Ahmad Gojree son of Gh Mohd resident of Drangbal, Umar Yousuf Sheikh son of Mohd Yousuf resident of Khanpora, Imran Bashir Malik son of Bashir Ahmad resident of Drangbal & Javid Ahmad Sofi son of Gh Ahmad resident of Delina Ghat.

Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered in Police Station and further investigation have been initiated.

People are requested not to indulge in any kind of illegal mining activities from any nallah as it is the violation of Government rules. Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law.
