Srinagar, June 15: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Monday ordered a major reshuffle in the State Taxes and Excise Department, transferring and posting 119 Excise Tax Officers (ETOs) and State Tax Officers (STOs) with immediate effect in the interest of administration.

The transfers were ordered by the Finance Department through Government Order No. 212-FD of 2026 dated June 15, 2026, issued from the Civil Secretariat, Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the order, several Excise Tax Officers were shifted to new assignments. Among the prominent transfers, Ankit Gupta has been posted as ETO, Excise Range Udhampur-Reasi, while Anurag Sharma has been moved to the office of Deputy Excise Commissioner, Accounts, Jammu. Rajesh Sharma has been transferred as STO in the office of DC Recovery State Taxes, Jammu, whereas Ankush Sharma has been posted as ETO, Excise Range Rajouri-Poonch.

Similarly, Sonam Verma has been shifted as ETO Distilleries, Jammu, while Mudasir Nazir has been posted to Excise Range Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban. Munesh Bhagat has been transferred to Excise Range Kathua and Kashish Sharma has been posted to Excise Range North Jammu.

Among Kashmir-based Excise officers, Danishwar Shaffi and Shuakath Hussain Bahar have exchanged postings between Baramulla-Kupwara-Bandipora and Srinagar-Budgam-Ganderbal ranges. Mohd Akbar Hakim has been shifted as ETO Accounts Kashmir, while Peer Shamsuduha has been posted to Excise Range Anantnag-Pulwama-Shopian-Kulgam with additional charge of Erstwhile Toll Lower Munda.

The order also effected a large-scale transfer of State Tax Officers across Kashmir and Jammu divisions. In Srinagar, Ab. Hamid Ganie, Abdul Rehman Kumar, Mohammad Khalid Chesti, Mohd Anjum, Chirdeep Malhotra, Younis Bashir, Mohd Huzaif Sheikhzada, Saleem Akber, Abdul Raoof Shah, and Aijaz Hussain Malik were among those assigned new circles.

Other officers transferred in Kashmir include Mohd Sarfaraz Khan, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Parvaiz Ahmad Shah, Antriksh Jamwal, Ubaid-ul-Khazir, Rafi Ahmad Tramboo, Showkat Ahmad Malik, Parvaiz Ahmad Ganie, Shokath Ahmad Shoketh, Majid-ul-Islam Bhat, Mehraj-ud-Din Wani, Amir-ul-Haq Nath, Farooq Ahmad Kumar, Popinder Singh, Aijaz Hussain Chowdery, Ms Fatima, Javeed Ahmad Shah, Asrar-ul-Mustafa, Suraj Parkash, Mir Mudasir Gull, Sajad Ahmad Sofi, Firdous Ahmad Dar, Vaseena Yousuf, Abdul Shakoor Malik, Aijaz Ahmad Wani, Aadil Yousuf Wani, Gulzar Ahmad Mir, Irshad Assadulla Jan, Gh. Mohi-Ud-Din Malik, and Sheikh Attar.

In the Jammu division, officers including Akshay Sharma, Ashwani Kumar, Sandeep Saraf, Amit Jain, Mavesh Ara, Sandeep Kour, Sonia Parihar, Simmi, Mohd Yousif, Bhuvnesh Pargal, Tamana Seth, Noreen Choudhary, Ruchi Gupta, Chander Mohini, Varinder Gupta, Raj Kumar Badgal, Arvind Sawhney, Bhupinder Singh Chib, Pritam Lal, Ayush Sharma, Roshan Din, Aju Kundal, Ravi Kumar Verma, Ranju Gupta, Rohit Sharma, Nehal Pandit, Kusum Gupta, Dr. Sonika Sudan, Sachin Gupta, Vishal Pathak, Ranjeet Kour, Sonia Khajuria, Rahul Sharma, Sunil Kumar Gupta, Sandeep Singh, Abdul Rehman, Kaka Ram, Megha Sharma, Amandeep Bhagat, Satya Bhushan, Anjli Sharma, Sandeep Gupta, Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, Parvaiz Ahmed Wani, Qurat Ul Ain Batool, Rajeev Gupta, Varinder Singh Pawar, Kuldeep Kumar Jandial, Kamal Gupta, Sharda Devi Manhas, Asia Bano, Chander Badan, Sushma Sharma, Romi Jamwal, Sajdha, Dr. Tanvi Gupta, Sudhir, Deepak Sharma, Sahida Akhtar, Manav Sharma, Susheel Kumar Bhat, Amina Qumar, Sofia Akhter, and Dr. Aashna were also given fresh postings.

The Finance Department stated that all the officers covered under the order shall be deemed to have been relieved from their present places of posting with immediate effect to enable them to assume charge of their new assignments without delay.

The order was issued by Mohammad Amin, JKAS, Deputy Secretary to the Government, Finance Department, by the order of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir under the approval of Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Finance Department, Shailendra Kumar, IAS. (KNC)
