Jammu, March 06, 2026: Continuing its sustained drive against crime and criminal elements, Jammu Police, South Zone has successfully solved a theft case within 24 hours and arrested the accused involved in the commission of the crime.

On 05.03.2026, a complaint regarding the theft of gold ornaments from a house falling under the jurisdiction of Police Post Phallian Mandal was received. Acting promptly on the complaint, a case was taken up and investigation was initiated.

During the course of investigation, a police team led by ICPP Phallian Mandal PSI Naresh Kumar, under the supervision of SHO Police Station Satwari, SDPO City South, and SP City South, conducted sustained efforts along with technical analysis, which led to the identification and arrest of the accused person, namely Rahul Kumar S/o Ramesh Kumar R/o Ganeshu Chak, Tehsil Mandal, District Jammu.

On the disclosure of the accused, the stolen property including one pair of gold bangles and one gold ring was successfully recovered.

The swift and timely action by the police resulted in solving the case within 24 hours of the incident, and the stolen property was recovered. Further investigation into the case is underway.

Jammu Police remains vigilant and steadfast in its commitment to maintaining law and order, while continuing its relentless efforts to safeguard the lives and property of the public.
