I&FC Dept issues advisory, public urged to stay away from rivers and streams
Srinagar, July 23 (GNS): The Irrigation and Flood Control Department has said that water levels at Sangam and Ram Munshibagh monitoring stations are expected to reach the warning level shortly.
In view of the rising levels, the Chief Engineer, I&FC Department, Kashmir has directed all officers and officials from other departments of South and Central Kashmir assigned to flood duty to report to their respective duty locations without delay.
The department has also issued an advisory to the general public.
“People are once again advised to exercise utmost caution and refrain from venturing near rivers, streams, and other water bodies,” the advisory said. (GNS)
