Srinagar, Mar 23 : The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Monday issued orders assigning additional responsibilities to two senior IAS officers in the interest of smooth administrative functioning.

According to the order issued vide Government Order No. 467-JK(GAD) of 2026 dated March 23, 2026, as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, the Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Information Technology Department, till the regular incumbent resumes duties.

In a similar arrangement, the Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Forest, Ecology and Environment Department, has been assigned the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, until the concerned officer returns.

The order further states that the arrangement will remain in force till further orders or till the respective officers resume their duties. (KNC)
