April 09: In a significant action against drug trafficking, J&K Police in Anantnag has attached immovable and movable property belonging to a notorious drug peddler under the provisions of Section 68(F) of the NDPS Act.
The attached property includes one single-storeyed residential house and an I-20 Sports vehicle bearing registration number JK03G-2416, with an approximate market value of ₹80 lakhs. The property belongs to Imran Ahmad Wani, son of Gulzar Ahmad Wani, a resident of Shalgam Srigufwara. The said individual is involved in case FIR No. 17/2021 registered at Police Station Srigufwara under relevant sections of the NDPS Act. The attachment has been carried out as part of sustained efforts by Anantnag Police to curb the menace of drug abuse and dismantle the infrastructure supporting illegal narcotics trade.
J&K Police reiterates its resolve to continue its drive against drug trafficking and appeals to the general public to cooperate and share information related to such activities for a safer and drug-free society.
