Srinagar: District Administration Srinagar on Saturday issued an advisory to categorically deny permission to all applicants intending to move towards Khawaja Bazar, Nowhatta on Sunday, July 13.
In its advisory, the administration has directed the general public to adhere strictly to the restrictions and avoid any attempt to defy the orders. The authorities have made it clear that any violation will invite strict legal action under the relevant provisions of law.
“The District Administration Srinagar has denied permission to all applicants intending to proceed towards Khawaja Bazar, Nowhatta on 13th July 2025 (Sunday). The General Public is hereby advised to strictly comply with these instructions and refrain from violating the orders issued by District Administration,” reads an X post as per Alfaaz – The Words.
“Any violation of these orders shall invite strict legal action under relevant provisions of law,” further reads the post.
Notably, July 13 is observed as Martyrs’ Day in Jammu and Kashmir, especially in Kashmir, to commemorate the martyrdom of 22 Kashmiris at the hands of Dogra soldiers during a protest on that day in 1931.
