Srinagar, May 18 (GNS): A 56-year-old labourer died after reportedly slipping and falling from a height in the Shaldajan forest area of Boniyar in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday, officials said.

Officials identified the deceased as Mushtaq Ahmad Chaudhary, son of Daliwar Chaudhary, a resident of Hundhi Nowshera Boniyar.

The told GNS that the incident took place while the person was grazing goats in the forest area. “Following the incident, local residents rushed to the spot and shifted him to Primary Health Centre Sheeri, where doctors declared him brought dead.”

Officials further said the body was taken into custody by Police Station Boniyar for completion of medico-legal formalities, while further investigation has been initiated. (GNS)
