Ramban, July 15: A man was killed after a shooting stone hit his car on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway near Ramban on Wednesday, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the man was returning home after dropping another person in Ramban town when a boulder rolled down from a hillside and struck his vehicle near Trishul Morh.
He said the man was immediately rescued from the vehicle and shifted to the District Hospital Ramban, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased was later identified as Mohammad Iqbal Tantray, a resident of Seri village in Ramban district.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated further investigation.—(KNO)
